Carlene Cornish
Dr. Carlene Cornish is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Originally from South Africa, she holds academic and professional qualifications in Social Work, Criminology, Sociology, and Education. Her career spans child protection, the Youth Offending Service, the National Probation Service, and higher education. Dr. Cornish’s research focuses on race, racism, social work, and educational inequalities. A registered social worker with Social Work England and BASW, she also holds strategic leadership roles with BASW England, the BASW International Committee, and the NSPCC Policy Governance Committee.
