Joseph-Magwood, Abigail

Abigail M. Joseph-Magwood is an associate professor at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and a visiting lecturer at partner universities in China, Sweden, and Switzerland. With expertise in five European languages and communication psychology, she fosters cross-cultural dialogue in social work and education. Her work focuses on decolonising knowledge in institutions and challenging structural discrimination. She co-authored Alltagsrassismus: Einführung für die pädagogische Praxis und Soziale Arbeit and leads projects rooted in social justice and equity. Beyond academia, Abigail enjoys singing, dancing, and sparking inquiry, believing in the power of reflection, connection, and meaningful conversation in a changing world.
