Libby Hammond
Dr. Libby Hammond is a non-Indigenous, early career researcher focused on racism and the decolonisation of education and research. After living cross-culturally in Aotearoa New Zealand for 12 years, she returned to Australia in 2001. Libby was a Social Work Educator at Flinders University (2014–2022) and completed her PhD in 2021, receiving the Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Doctoral Thesis Excellence. Her research informed the development of the university’s topic Decolonising Social Work. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at SAHMRI in South Australia, where she coordinates the PATH project — Proactive Anti-racism Training for Healthcare.
