Sharlotte Tusasiirwe
Dr. Sharlotte Tusasiirwe is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at Western Sydney University, Australia. Her research focuses on decolonising social work education and practice through culturally relevant, diverse epistemologies. She holds degrees from Makerere University (Uganda), the University of Gothenburg (Sweden), and completed her PhD at Western Sydney University. Sharlotte is the author and co-editor of three 2024 books, including Decolonising and Reimagining Social Work in Africa and Ubuntu Philosophy and Decolonising Social Work Fields of Practice in Africa. Her work challenges dominant models by centring African and Indigenous perspectives in social work theory and education.
