Henglien Lisa Chen

Dr. Henglien Lisa Chen is Associate Professor of Social Work at the University of Sussex and project lead for the Decolonising Social Work Field Education Podcast: Global Dialogues for Change. She founded dialogswfe.org, a global platform for decolonising social work through critical dialogue. Her work explores gerontological care, participatory research, and the disruption of colonial legacies in field education. Rooted in epistemic justice and shaped by her transnational journey from Taiwan to the UK, Lisa champions inclusive, ethical practice. She leads cross-national collaborations and co-designed interventions aimed at transforming social work education, research, and care policy worldwide.
